Herdsmen: Ortom Meets IGP Adamu In Abuja

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom met on Wednesday with the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, in Abuja.

This is according to a photo that was shared on the official Twitter handle of the Governor.

Earlier today with @PoliceNG IG Mohammed Adamu after a meeting in Abuja,” Ortom captioned the photo.

It was recalled that gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attempted to assassinate Ortom who was coming back from his farm in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

He also met with the president Muhammad Buhari on Tuesday 23.03.2021 behind closed doors in the presidential villa. 

Ortom speaking to newsmen after the meeting disclosed that insecurity is a big threat to the conduct of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
